On 18 May 2022, the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) International Research and Education Foresight Centre held a three-day training event on ‘Foresight: methods, best practices, application of results’.
HSE University experts spoke about the intricacies of strategic planning, the most effective scientific forecasting techniques, and the key stages of the foresight process.
The audience learned about successful scenario planning cases, the development of technological roadmaps, and had a chance to conduct their own foresight studies.
The top foresight projects were noted by the jury, which consisted of recognised foresight theorists and practitioners Alexander Sokolov, Director of the HSE ISSEK Foresight Centre, and Ozcan Saritas, Head of the HSE ISSEK Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies.
