International Academic Symposium ‘Foresight and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy’

On April 18 and 19, 2024, the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University) is holding the International Scientific Symposium ‘Foresight and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy.’ Well-known Russian and foreign scientists and experts will gather to discuss best practices in foresight research and prospects for scientific, technological and innovative development in different countries.

The symposium is organised in the framework of coordinated by the HSE University the world-class Scientific Center ‘Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Centre’, and UNESCO Chair on Future Studies, and a research grant funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (grant ID: 075-15-2022-325).

The symposium programme will feature seven main sessions:

  • Foresight: Novelties in Methods and Organisation
  • Foresight and STI Policy Instruments
  • Creative Economy of the Far East and the Arctic zone of Russia: Current State, Features and Growth Points
  • Visioning the Future: New Approaches to Studies of Uncertainty
  • New Technologies in City Management: From Artificial Intelligence to Multiverses
  • Management of Transformation Processes: How to Convert Transformation into Practices
  • Foresight: Agenda Setting and Tracking Results

The terms of participation:

Format: online via Zoom platform.

Working languages: English and Russian (with simultaneous interpretation).
