HSE University Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) will hold the International Academic Symposium 'Foresight and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy' on April 13–14, 2023 (Moscow, Russia) in the framework of XXIV Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development.

The symposium will address a broad range of topics in the domain of S&T Foresight and STI policy-making, and examine new methodologies and methods of Foresight studies and instruments of R&D management, thus stimulating the exchange of best practices of their application. The event will bring together representatives of leading research and educational centres worldwide, the business community, and others.

The event programme will feature several main sessions:

  • Foresight and S&T Priorities Setting
  • New Methods of Foresight
  • Big Data in Foresight Studies
  • Synthesizing Qualitative and Quantitative Foresight Tools
  • Scenarios: Approach STEEPV
  • Assessment of Cities’ Innovative Potential
  • Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies: Current Trends and Challenges
  • Innovation for Sustainability.

Format of the symposium: online, Webinar platform.

Working languages: English and Russian (with simultaneous translation).

The symposium programme is currently under development and will be available soon.
